Changing of the Guard ...
It appears they are changing the high assurance messaging guard at NATO. Since 1997 NATO have used Thales XOMail/Guard to provide separation between NATO and MISSION environments.
Now it appears that NAMSA is procuring the NEXOR Sentinel as "the high assurance mailguard of choice for operational use".
Whilst XOMail/Guard provides a TCSEC B1+ certified COTS Mail Guard with an X.400(84) capability, the Nexor Sentinel offers both X.400(88) and SMTP support on the EAL5+ evaluated STOP 6.1 platform.
The NEXOR Sentinel joins the Clearswift DeepSecure mailguard which was procured by NATO as part of the NATO Messaging System solution from EADS.
