Submitted by admin on Wed, 2006-09-06 16:31
The latest version of Clearswift's DeepSecure messaging boundary protection device has just achieved a Common Criteria EAL 4 evaluation.
The new version includes a number of new features, including support for X.841 based security labels, as well as a comprehensively revised management interface.
The evaluation of DeepSecure Release 2.1 includes the following security functions:
- The ClearPoint management functions for the definition, modification, selection and activation of message policy, and for managing policy and monitoring policy application;
- The policy derivation and execution framework, to ensure the invocation of all Policy Engine mediation checks and actions;
- The message recognition/de-composition/re-composition function - allowing DeepSecure to act as a red gateway;
- The Policy Engine actions that can be triggered as a result of policy or policy violations (or other conditions);
- The audit function for auditing of security-related activity; and
- The X.841 (Security) Label Support Library option to support clearance checking and the translation of security labels between different formats and policies.
