Nexor MMHS Security, a system consisting of a number of Nexor's secure messaging and directory products, has achieved EAL2 conformance. Details are available on the NIST web site.

Boldon James Introduce "Classify" Competitor

Boldon James have introduced SAFEsend, a Microsoft Outlook plug-in that allows the consistent marking of e-mail messages. The marking, or security label, is chosen from a set of configured text strings, and can be applied to either message subject or first line of text.

As such, it competes directly with the Classify for Outlook, from Mark Wilson Software. Classify is deployed in a large number of secure messaging systems worldwide.

SAFEsend has an advantage over Classify, in that it can also perform an access control check of the message recipients.

Atlas Consortium Wins UK DII

After the story was first leaked in the Sunday Times, it has now been confirmed by the Minister for Defence Procurement that the Atlas Consortium has been awarded the first stage of the UK Defence Information Infrastructure (DII) project.

Australian e-Defence Review

The business case and acquisition strategy for the Australian e-Defence project, which will replace the ADF text-based messaging system, has slipped until mid-2005 according to a recent press release.

Clearswift/EADS NMS Press Release

EADS and Clearswift have produced a joint press release highlighting Clearswifts provision of high assurance messaging gateways for the NATO Messaging System (NMS).
It highlights support for ACP145 though this is not an NMS requirememt.
The press release is also the basis for articles in Computer Weekly and Silicon.com.
